Organizations and the Business Environment is divided into three sections. Firstly a study of Business Organizations covers topics from organizational and managerial theories, objectives and culture to an examination of the various functions in a modern business organization. Then the Micro Business Environment looks at various aspects of a business in relation to its immediate environment i.e. its industry competitors, suppliers and customers. Finally the Macro Business Environment looks at the political environment, including a detailed study of the structures, objectives and influences of the European Union, then goes on to examine legal structures, macroeconomic, sociological and technological influences.
About the Author
David Campbell is senior lecturer in strategic management at Newcastle Business School, University of Northumbria at Newcastle. He is the author of several books including 'Business Strategy' and 'Organizations and the Business Environment'. His research interests include business ethics and social and environmental accounting.
