Fabulous & practical -- You CAN run a writer's workshop for primary students!

If you have doubted you could run a writer's workshop in your classroom, get this book. Let _No More "I'm Done!"_ do for your writing workshop what _Daily 5_ did for your reading workshop.

The word needs to get out about this book!

I feel strongly that the word needs to get out about this book because it deserves more notice than it seems to be getting. The previous reviewer who likened it to the Daily 5-for-writing book was spot on. They are similar in that they both provide a framework to help you successfully manage reading/writing workshop.
The management tips are what really set this book apart from the other books. Sometimes it's the little things that can make all the difference. The book is full of those "little things" like the Quiet 10, a structure for conducting an efficient conference, what to do if kids come up to talk to you in the middle of a conference, what to do with all those "sloppy copies" at the end of the month, easy ways for kids to edit their work (spider legs and surgery!)... all this AND tons of mini-lessons to get you started.
You can use the ideas in this book whether you use Lucy Calkins, 6-traits, or have no writing program at all. I can't wait to get started on the school year so I can start writers workshop. It's been a long time since I've felt this way about writing!
